The first to take advantage of the new IperDrive lockers, the online grocery shopping service from the well-known food retail chain Iper La grande i (a brand of the Finiper Canova Group), were the customers of the Iper Maestoso store located at Via Sant’Andrea 21 in Monza.

Thanks to a smart locker fully integrated into the IperDrive website and app’s pickup experience, customers who shop online from their smartphone, tablet, or computer can choose to collect their groceries during their selected time slot.

For this initiative, we selected Penguin Lockers as our hardware partner—a truly unique Italian excellence in hot-cold-freeze solutions, offering a wide variety of compartments and outdoor-ready designs that can support the ongoing evolution of service models required by our customers.

The pickup process is straightforward: simply go to the locker—conveniently located in the hypermarket or supermarket parking lot—scan a QR code using the built-in reader, or enter your order code via the touchscreen.

Then, just collect your groceries from the designated smart locker compartments and close the doors once you’re done.

This experience, also known as Click & Collect or BOPIS (Buy Online, Pick Up In Store), expands the available shopping and collection options offered by Iper La grande i, aiming to meet the needs and habits of a highly diverse customer base.

Thanks to WIB smart lockers, integrated as IperDrive lockers, it’s now possible to extend service hours and offer customers a self-service experience that is increasingly appreciated and in demand.
